As a leading consultancy, Wadenhoe’s website really wasn’t doing them justice. The content was very ‘wordy’ and the marketing message was unclear. The graphic design was limited and as a result the site didn’t project the highly professional and prestigious image that The Wadenhoe Group deserved.
When The Wadenhoe Group approached Digital Paint, there had been several abortive attempts to get a new website off the ground, but the visuals produced by other web design companies tended to be clichéd, showing a lack of understanding of what Wadenhoe do for their clients, and more importantly, how they do it better than their competitors.

The first thing that we did was to sit down with Wadenhoe for a meeting to fully understand what they do, and how they differentiate themselves from their competitors. During this meeting, we identified keywords, phrases and concepts which collectively defined Wadenhoe’s key marketing messages and differentiators. These were words such as ‘alignment’, ‘tailored solutions’, ‘nurturing’, etc. Once we had identified these keywords and concepts we were able to devise imagery to support them, with a key marketing message or tagline attached. This imagery that we produced could then be used not only on the website, but also in other key marketing materials such as journal advertising for example, presenting a cohesive message and visual image to their market.
Additionally, we looked at how Wadenhoe wanted to communicate with their clients and the functionality required by the website to support this. This included such things as a customer area of the site, requiring a user to log in, in order to access white papers and research etc. The registration for this database populates a customer database which allows Wadenhoe to create HTML email mailings – directly from their website, whilst also allowing them to monitor access and usage trends.
Having come up with some visual ideas, we then created 3 different design concepts and layouts for the client to choose from and placed the images which we had created in context for the client to see and discuss. Once agreed, the site was then constructed, incorporating the specified functionality and the agreed imagery.

The result of this is a visually impressive, highly functional site which clearly conveys Wadenhoe’s key marketing messages whilst allowing Wadenhoe to capture visitor information for future marketing campaigns. To see the website, visit http://www.wadenhoe.com
What the Client Says.
Ray Atkinson, Managing Director of The Wadenhoe Consultancy, had the following to say about the project.
“The great thing about working with Digital Paint was that it was a very genuine partnership for us. The guys at Digital Paint were able to bring not only the technical expertise we needed but also provided some valuable marketing consultancy – all as an integral part of the project. The result is that not only do we have an excellent website but we have also achieved a clearer direction for our subsequent marketing effort.
They have done a great job!”
