Imagine ordering a pizza on-line and receiving a donation to your favourite charity or local cause in return.
Fiction? No, it's fact. The Easy Fundraising site has links to all the major on-line retailers (and some lesser known ones), all of which promise to make a donation on your behalf as a way of saying ‘thank you' for shopping with them.
The causes you can support range from large national charities to local fund raising for schools, churches, children's clubs and even personal appeals. If yours isn't registered then you can nominate it yourself. The on-line retailers generously taking part in the scheme include Tesco, Amazon, M&S, Dominos, Gap and BBC Shop.
This has to be the ultimate ‘feel good site'! An excuse to go shopping on-line with all your favourite retailers, with no feeling of guilt and free charitable donations. How do you get started? It's really very easy:
- Visit Easy Fundraising at: http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/
- Either support a cause that already exists or register a new one. Registration is completely FREE.
- Login using your username / password. This is how the system recognises who you are and which cause benefits when you make purchases.
- Finally, click any of the retailer links provided and then shop just as you would normally.
Within minutes you can be raising funds for your cause.
Providing you login and use the retailer links provided Easy Fundraising will track all your transactions and pay your nominated cause the appropriate donations. These will then be displayed in your Easy Fundraising account, which you can access online. Each time you shop you receive an email confirming your donation.
So the next time you decide to shop on-line, don't forget to logon to Easy Fundraising first and raise some money for a good cause! Alternatively, the next time you want to donate some money to a worthy cause, just use it as an excuse to go shopping on the web!
PS: If you usually make 10 Internet searches per day you could raise another £20 per year for your chosen cause. Check out www.easysearch.org.uk for details.
