HINTS AND TIPS: Google Analytics

A free service offered by Google, Analytics generates detailed statistics about visitors to your website.

Google Analytics is aimed at site owners who want to know how their site is performing and require evidence of how visitors navigate the pages before purchasing, or not! You can use it to track visitors from all referrers, including search engines, display advertising, pay-per-click networks, e-mail marketing and links within PDF documents.

Integrated with AdWords, users can review online campaigns by tracking landing page quality and conversions (goals). Goals might include sales, lead generation, viewing a specific page or downloading a particular file. By using Google Analytics, site owners can determine which adverts are performing and which are not, providing the information to optimise or cut campaigns.
